Aman Ki Asha - The Truth

Aman ki Asha, a Times of India initiative, supported by Amitabh Bachchan. What is it? It’s an unusual step taken to try and improve relations between India and Pakistan. Please go to http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/amankiasha.cms to check other details in it.

Now, there is a video on youtube that mocks this step taken by Times of India. It says, that in the Aman Ki Asha (AKA) ad, we show Pakistanis in a bad condition. And that we portray them as suckers for Bollywood.

WTF!!!

I love Atif Aslam. I love Inzamam-ul-Haq. I LOVE Strings!!! I actually am a sucker for them. It’s art that people admire. Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge is a legendary song. I bet, Parvesh Musharraf must have loved the movie and the songs too. It’s not a bad thing to like other countries’ culture, songs or movie making!!!

True that Bal Thakrey is concerned with only Hindus and we have suffered for it. I’m not a fan of Bal Thakrey at all. In fact, I hate him. I am Hindu. And I hate him for bringing about difference in our motherland.

Lets talk about Raj Thakrey now. I’m also a Bihari. And he targeted all Biharis in Bombay. What the hell!!! Isn’t he in the same country? I hate him too.

Well, the apple hasn’t fallen far from the tree!

That’s that. Now, Bal Thakrey is also friends with Amitabh Bachchan. Does that mean that Mr. Bachchan favors only Hindus and only Marathis? Hell no. He’s friends with Bal Thakrey because he is a famous actor who happens to be in maharashtra as well. And I think “everyone” knows that once you are a world famous actor, you have powerful contacts, including those in government.

Mr. Bachchan support AKA because he believes in it. And he is known for performing such feasts from time to time. Yes, he is an actor, but he is also a human being.

Recent Bombay attacks were blamed on Pakistani terrorists. Mind it, I said, Pakistani “terrorists” and not just Pakistani. I won’t be surprised if it all happens to be a fuss performed by some Indian “terrorist” at all. I think it’s very clear that both the countries have some rotten apples who keep on destroying the relations between them.

Who are these terrorists? They are noone else but ourselves. We are the terrorists of this country. Until we don’t kill the beast within and open ourselves up, terrorism is here to stay.

After the separation, both the sides have suffered their share of loss. From time to time, both the countries have been scarred, scorched and scraped off of their moments for Prosper and Peace. But it still is upto us.

Its upto us to believe in what is right.

Its upto us to take action for what is right.

Its upto us to reach the destination peace.

Our brothers are separated due to the thin line that has been drawn. Let’s not have those lines burden our hearts. Let those lines be on the map.

It’s not a simple task. It’s not going to happen overnight. It’ll take time and it’ll push us down. But I’m telling you, once you decide, you can achieve anything!

My name is Sunny Sawrav. I support Aman Ki Asha. I pray to you my fellow Pakistani and Indian brothers, lets do the same!!!
